Nine class types across pre-school, recreational, and competitive tracks. New dancers and lifers both belong here.
Our new season catalog publishes in Studio Pro this summer. The class types below remain the same - exact days and times will be confirmed once registration opens.
The catalog
Each class meets once a week and performs one piece at the annual recital. Dancers can layer styles - most do.
30 min / Pre-school
An introduction to ballet and tap for pre-school age dancers. Dancers learn to take turns, know their directions, count, and pick up the basics - all through props, imagery, and play. This is a 30-minute class that meets once a week and performs one dance at the annual recital.
Attire: Pink ballet shoes, nude tap shoes, and leotard with tights at every class.

45 min / Pre-school
For dancers ages 5–6 entering Kindergarten. Starlettes builds on Dream Dancers with deeper ballet and tap technique, dance vocabulary, and structured choreography. 45-minute class, once a week, with one performance at the annual recital.
Attire: Pink ballet shoes, nude tap shoes, and leotard with tights at every class.

30 min / Jazz
Leap combinations, turning sequences, and jumps. Dancers benefit from also enrolling in ballet so they already know the foundational technique. 30 minutes, once a week, one dance at the annual recital.
Attire: Nude jazz shoes and form-fitting dance attire.

30 min / Acro
Balancing, limbering, tumbling, and partnering - based in flexibility, contortion, and strength. MDS is certified to teach the Acrobatic Arts syllabus. 30 minutes, once a week, one performance at the recital.
Attire: Form-fitting dance attire; bare feet.

30 min / Lyrical
Freedom of expression, fusing ballet and jazz technique. A strong connection between music and choreography that dancers carry through emotion. Dancers are encouraged to enroll in ballet and jazz to support their lyrical training.
Attire: Nude lyrical shoes and form-fitting dance attire.

30 min / Hip Hop
A great style for dancers with no formal training. Popping, locking, and freestyle technique set to music and choreography inspired by hip hop culture.
Attire: Hip hop shoes that are easy to dance in.

30 min / Contemporary
Interpretive dance using balance, extension, isolations, and control - extending beyond jazz and lyrical.
Attire: Half-sole shoes or barefoot; form-fitting dance attire.

30 min / Pointe
Strengthening and ballet terminology required to safely go up on pointe. Concurrent ballet enrollment is required.
Attire: Pink pointe shoes and form-fitting dance attire.

Investment
Three payment plans, transparent fees, no surprises.
Registration
$20
Due at registration. Deadline Friday, June 19th; $25 late fee after.
Costumes
$75–$85 per costume
Per costume; split across two payments. No refunds; $10 exchange restock fee.
Recital
$40 per dancer
Per dancer; covers facility, staging, lighting, and the recital t-shirt.
Three payment options: 1) Full Tuition (one payment), 2) Quarterly (4 payments), or 3) Monthly (8 payments). Costume fees are split into two payments. The recital fee covers your dancer's t-shirt and our facility, staging, and lighting costs and must be paid before the recital.
A $25 fee applies to any returned payments.
